I have been coming here for over thirty years when Pete and his wife were running the restaurant now his children have carried on the tradition Quality and service have not changed Great job Mom & Dad !!

A & L Ham Palace is a "must visit" spot for me when I am in Detroit. The owners are friendly, warm and helpful while always working hard. Food is a good value: ample and tasty, freshly prepared and served on the spot -- just like good home cooking.

Great small diner for excellent food. The ham is top notch. We got a huge ham sandwich and they nailed it. Onion Roll and mustard and a crunchy dill pickle. Yum. The coneys were excellent too. The hot dogs they used were some premium wieners. Chili awesome. The waittress took great care of us. Brought refills of our soda pops. They thanked us with a smile, all of them. Made us feel good.

I have lived in SWD all of my adult life and missed this jewel that has been here on Fort St and Woodmere for the last 20 years. Vera her bro the cook and the rest of the crew serve it up right . The famous ham sandwich does not disappoint. The service is impeccable Peace
